The 4th Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Microscale Separation and Analysis

The Symposium, with DICP as the major sponsor and the Second Military Medicine University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army as the assisting sponsor, was held from 11th to 14th of October 2002 in Pudong, Shanghai. More than 200 scientists from about 20 countries participated in the Symposium, including Prof. A. Manz of Imperial Polytechnic University, UK, and Prof. S. Hjerten of the Uppsala University, Sweden. Approximately 80 papers were presented orally and 110 papers as posters.       Prof. Bingcheng LIN of DICP chaired the Symposium, and was the chief editor of the Proceedings of this Symposium, which was published as a special issue on the Journal of Electrophoresis.
